Cocoon recently attended the Amazon Web Services Summit 2017 at London’s ExCel Centre. We were part of the Amazon Launchpad showcase, presenting alongside Beeline (www.beeline.co) and Roli (www.roli.com).
Our team were showing attendees how Cocoon makes home security simple, so everyone can feel safe. The crowd was full of technology professionals. They showed a great interest in our Subsound® technology, and in how uniquely we use machine learning to better protect the home.
Rob Clarke, our Lead Developer, took to the stage to tell Cocoon’s story from a Research and Development perspective. He also explained how Amazon Launchpad has been a great support in Cocoon’s growth. Launchpad is a unique programme showcasing cutting-edge products to millions of Amazon customers, to accelerate the success of startups who are truly innovative. Launchpad: “Today’s brightest startups, now on Amazon”
Introduced in 2015, Amazon Launchpad makes it easy for startups to launch, market, and distribute their products to hundreds of millions of Amazon customers across the globe. Since launching a year ago, Amazon Launchpad has worked with over 100 leading venture capital firms, startup accelerators, and crowdfunding platforms. Helping more than 1,000 startups launch products in the U.S., U.K., China, Germany, and France.
The program offers a streamlined onboarding experience, custom product pages, a comprehensive marketing package, and access to Amazon’s global fulfilment network. Launchpad is geared toward helping startups successfully launch their innovations and share their stories. Startups can overcome many of the challenges associated with launching new products by using Amazon’s retail expertise and infrastructure to create awareness and drive sales.
