We’re really proud to announce that Cocoon has been selected as a ‘Rising Star’ in the 2015 Northern Tech Awards. Where better to be recognised than on our own doorstep.
If you read our blog you’ll be aware that our founding team are passionate about supporting people who want to take an idea and turn it into a business. So we’ll be toasting all the other great tech startups named alongside Cocoon at the awards later this month.
Organised by GP Bullhound, an international technology investment bank, the awards recognise the fastest growing and most innovative companies based in Northern England and Scotland. Cocoon Co-founder Sanjay Parekh will be gratefully accepting the honour at the event, hosted by WIRED UK‘s editor David Rowan.
What an incredible week… Cocoon has made it through to the final of [email protected] and has been named in The Times as one of the top 10 startups in the UK!
[email protected] is a competition set-up by HRH The Duke Of York and his team. It’s split into three stages, a panel who put forward start-ups that they admire, a pitching day (which took place last week) and a final at St. James’s Palace on the 23rd of March.
The Digital Economy Report compiled for The Times by Raconteur listed Cocoon as #3 in the Top 10 UK startups. Alex Wood, the former editor of Tech City News and now editor in chief at The Memo, compiled the report which also includes fellow attendees at the Pitch10 event in February, Hassle and Bizzby.
It’s a great feeling to be in the final of [email protected] 3.0 but in order to win big we need your amazing support!
There is a public vote taking place from Monday the 16th of March and we need you to vote for Cocoon. We will post links to the voting page on Facebook, Twitter and here on the Cocoon blog!
